Questions for the Secretary of Homeland Security - Nominee
Immigration and Deportation, US Technical Infrastructure, Loyalty
Questions for Homeland Secretary - Nominee: Noem. The Homeland Department will play a front-line coordinating role in any Trump deportation scheme. Additionally, points of coordination among The Squad (Noem, Bondi, Hegseth, and Gabbard) could be used to drive the use of the US Military in domestic law enforcement: the starter flag for autocracy.

3. How will you ensure that Homeland and Homeland’s staff sustain their loyalty to the US Constitution and prevent the dilution of this loyalty by substituting loyalty to the president?
4. How will you proceed to establish the president’s deportation program? What existing priorities of DHS will be deprioritized, defunded, or delayed? What additional funding will the department require?
5. What new authorities will DHS require to establish this deportation program? If existing authorities are adequate, what are they?
6. What elements of the US Military will be needed to prosecute this deportation program, if any? How will the military be affected, what is the definition of success, and how will the use of the Military, if any, be phased out?
7. What specific policy changes, if any, are needed to carry out the deportation program?
a. What specific laws need to be created or adjusted to facilitate the deportation program?
b. What are the costs in terms of personnel, funding, and facilities will be needed to carry out the deportation program. For what duration? What is the definition of success?
8. How can the US better secure our infrastructure against the increasing threats posed by Russia, China and other non-state actors?
9. Since President Trump in his first term stopped deporting immigrants back to their home countries and instead dropped them on the other side of the border, consequently dropping them into the hands of cartels, thereby strengthening cartels, what priorities will you pursue to re-establish deportation to home countries and decrease the power of the cartels?
10. What actions by DOD, AG, or the DNI would raise a red flag for you in the context of supporting the president versus supporting the US Constitution?
